Our Farm
Daona Farm, located in Vermont’s beautiful Champlain Valley, is a true family farm.
For over 100 years and four generations, the Brisson Family has worked the land and cared for their dairy herd.
Our farm name, Daona, is a compound of Davis and Leona, the middle names of Harris and Lauretta Brisson, the farm’s second-generation owners.
100 years ago, farming was a means of providing for the individual family. Now, farming is a business that is responsible for feeding the nation.
The milk from our dairy herd is shipped to Agrimark co-op where it is processed into a distinguished line of Cabot products. We take pride in the award winning Cabot cheddar cheese. In 2017, we began raising our own American Wagyu beef which we proudly sell at our farm store and select locations.
Our beef is raised alongside our dairy animals in a symbiotic manner using agricultural practices that allow us to control the growth of our dairy herd and reduce feed-waste all while naturally producing an exceptional beef product for our family and yours.
